Night at Divum

So, I started this at...7:50 pm last night...It's 4:30 am now...that's...oh crap, abt 8 hours

Well that's sad

But at the same time, half of the time was spent actually sketching out the drawing on Paint Tool Sai

You see, how I do digital artwork is by drawing a sketch traditionally, then scanning it into my computer, before tracing a clean line art and coloring it digitally. This piece was one of my few that was fully digital, from the sketch to the final contrast effect. And I am happy with it, especially the lighting (and her hair ). I'm a newbie with backgrounds and lighting, so for it to turn out like this makes me feel like I'm finally getting somewhere

Now, for the drawing itself, it's my two fav OCs at the moment, Isugoro and Maggie from my story LAPIS

This is actually from...about half way through the story, when Isugoro and Maggie are sent to Divum, an Orien base set on current northeastern coast of China, to study a karate type style of fighting. The attire they're both wearing was a look I came up with about a month ago, as a look for traveling around outside of the base. Another reason for this drawing is that while looking through my drawings of the two, I have none already up of these two together.

Ok, that's not entirely true, but even so, I don't have anything up that has them set in a serious scene, or does what was my main goal, to show the height difference (Isugoro- 6'4" Maggie- 5'4" a whole foot!). It may be off a bit, but for now, I'm fine with that, it gives the gist XDD
